Attending the Specialty Food Association, Winter 2022 Fancy Food Show in Las Vegas this weekend, it's been 25 months since the last show and many things have changed, consumer and industry buyer habits have dramatically changed in many ways. Online shopping has boomed, D2C has increased saving many producers, in person meetings are still very rare.
Product lines have come and gone, those that remain, remain stronger and more agile. Looking forward to what is new and different, meeting old friends and partners, fist bumping and handshakes will replace Teams/Zoom interaction, if only for 3 days, it will be a pleasure and an awaking from the hibernation of the industry.
Hoping for a good attendance, some good meetings, and human interaction with industry contacts who have been such a large part of our lives in this crazy food business we live in.
